ParkTick Privacy Policy

ParkTick estimates parking fees from photos of rate signs. Most data stays on your iPhone. This policy explains what reaches Hitori Studio's server and why.

Stored only on your device

Sign photos, recognized text, saved parking lots, parking sessions, your parked-car location, and entry times read from tickets. Sign photos are not kept after you confirm the rules.

Sent to our server, only when you choose to

Feedback, when you tap Send: the parking rules used, entry and exit times, the estimate, the amount you paid, the reasons you chose, and your note. The recognized sign text and the parking lot's location are included only if you turn them on.
Shared parking rules, only if you turn on "Share with other ParkTick users": the parking lot's name, address, location and rules. They are shown to other users near that lot.
Nearby shared rules: to show shared rules near you, the app sends your location rounded to about 100 m. We do not store or log it.
Reports of incorrect or offensive shared rules.
Lock Screen fee updates, while you are parked and Live Activities are allowed: a push token for the Live Activity, and the times and yen amounts of the upcoming charges, so the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island show the right fee while ParkTick is closed. No parking lot, rules or location are sent. They are deleted when you end parking, or an hour after the last charge. You can turn this off with Live Activities in iOS Settings.

What we do not collect

No account, name, email, phone number, licence plate, payment details, contacts, or advertising identifier. ParkTick does not track you across apps or websites and contains no third-party analytics or advertising.

Anonymous install key

When you share rules or report them, the app signs the request with a key created on your iPhone (kept in the Secure Enclave where available). This lets one person count once and lets only you delete what you shared. The server stores only a keyed hash of the public key, which cannot identify you.

Security

All connections use HTTPS (TLS 1.2 or later). Requests that change shared data are signed and can't be replayed. Moderation actions are logged.

Deleting your data

In ParkTick, open the Settings menu and tap Delete my shared data. This removes your confirmations and reports from the server immediately. Feedback reports are kept for up to 24 months to improve fee calculation and then deleted; to have yours deleted sooner, contact us with the approximate time you sent it.
